Terms of Use

Last updated: 2 November 2026

These terms of use (“terms”) are an agreement between you and Brifco, based in Slovenia (“we”), which operates the Brifco app and its services. By using the Brifco app, you agree to these terms. Please also read our privacy policy, which explains how we handle your data.

1. What Brifco is

Brifco prepares a personal audio show for you: a greeting, the weather, news from sources you choose, an overview of your day (if you connect your calendar) and traffic — all written and read by AI. You can prepare a show at any time or get one every morning at a time you choose.

2. Who can use the app

You must be at least 15 years old to use Brifco. If you are under 18, you need a parent's or guardian's permission to buy a subscription.

3. Your account

The app creates an anonymous account for you during setup — no email address or password is needed. The account is tied to the app on your device, so keep your device secure. Because the account is anonymous, we may not be able to restore it if you delete the app or lose your device.

You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete account.

4. Subscriptions and free trial

Shows in Brifco are available with a subscription. We offer auto-renewing subscriptions through Apple's App Store and Google Play: weekly and yearly. The current price and length of each subscription are shown in the app before purchase, in your local currency and including taxes.

  • Free trial: both the weekly and the yearly subscription include a 3-day free trial for eligible new subscribers (one free trial per Apple ID or Google Play account). If you don't cancel at least 24 hours before it ends, the subscription you chose starts and its price is charged automatically. Any unused part of the trial ends when you buy a subscription.
  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase, or at the end of the free trial if you use one.
  • The subscription renews automatically for the same period at the then-current price unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Renewal is charged within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • You manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions) or in Google Play (Play Store → your profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions). Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period already paid for.
  • Deleting the app or your account does not cancel your subscription.
  • Payments and refunds are handled by the store you bought from under its terms: Apple (request a refund at https://reportaproblem.apple.com) or Google, under Google Play's refund policies. If you are a consumer in the EU, you may have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days of purchase — you exercise it through Apple or Google.
  • If we change the price, Apple or Google will notify you in advance as its rules require and, where necessary, ask for your consent before charging you the new price.

5. Fair use and limits

Every show costs us real money (writing and reading with AI), so fair-use limits apply: a monthly number of shows (lower during the free trial) and a daily limit on shows you prepare on demand. Current limits may be shown in the app. We may reasonably adjust them — for example to prevent abuse or keep the service sustainable — but we won't take away what a paid subscription includes during a period already paid for.

6. AI-generated content

Shows are generated automatically by AI from third-party news sources, weather and traffic data and your daily overview. Neither we nor an editor review each show before you hear it. Shows may contain errors, omissions, outdated information or mispronunciations, and the AI may summarise a source incorrectly or misattribute something to it.

Shows are intended only for personal information and entertainment. They do not replace official traffic, weather or emergency notices or professional advice. Before important decisions — especially about safety or travel — check the original sources, such as promet.si, the official weather service (ARSO) and the outlet itself.

7. Road safety

Don't operate the app while driving. Set up your show before you leave, keep your eyes on the road and follow traffic rules. Listen at a volume that still lets you hear what's happening around you.

8. Third-party content and services

News belongs to its publishers. The app shows headlines and short summaries from outlets' public feeds (RSS), credits the source and links to the original article. We don't own third-party content, don't verify it and aren't responsible for it; a link takes you to a site with its own terms.

  • Traffic data: promet.si / DARS via the National Access Point (NAP), licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0.
  • Weather data: Open-Meteo (https://open-meteo.com), licensed under CC BY 4.0.

Features that connect to other services (for example Google Calendar) are also subject to those services' terms.

9. Acceptable use

Please use the app fairly. You may not:

  • use the app to break the law or infringe the rights of others;
  • circumvent usage limits, subscriptions or protections, or access other people's data;
  • use the service with bots, scripts or other automated means, or overload or disrupt it;
  • copy, decompile or reverse engineer the app, except where the law expressly allows it;
  • resell the service, or broadcast or publish shows commercially;
  • enter topics or content that are illegal, hateful or intended to harass.

10. Your shows and our rights

You may listen to and keep your shows for personal, non-commercial use. You allow us to process the data you give us (e.g. areas, location and daily overview) only as far as needed to prepare shows and run the service, as described in the privacy policy.

The app, its name, design, software and our own content belong to Brifco or our licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the app on Apple or Android devices that you own or control, in accordance with the usage rules of the store you got the app from (for Apple, the App Store usage rules).

11. Changes to the service

We're constantly improving the app, so features may change, be added or be removed. We may also suspend the service temporarily for maintenance or for reasons beyond our control (e.g. a provider outage). If a change significantly reduces what a paid subscription includes, we will notify you in advance and you can cancel.

12. Termination

You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or permanently disable your access if you seriously or repeatedly breach these terms or abuse the service; where reasonable, we will warn you first. If we shut down the service entirely, we will notify you in advance.

13. Warranty and liability

If you are a consumer, you have all the rights that consumer protection law gives you (including for digital content and services that don't conform to the contract), and nothing in these terms limits them.

Beyond those rights, the app is provided “as is” and “as available”: we don't guarantee that it will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free, or that shows will be complete and accurate.

To the extent permitted by law, Brifco is not liable for indirect or consequential damage or for loss resulting from reliance on a show's content, and our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim. These limits don't apply to damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, to death or personal injury, or wherever the law does not allow liability to be limited.

14. Apple's App Store

If you got the app from Apple's App Store, the following also applies:

  • These terms are an agreement between you and Brifco, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app and its content.
  • Apple has no obligation to maintain or support the app.
  • If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, which will refund any purchase price. To the extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the app.
  • Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or third parties relating to the app (e.g. product liability claims, claims that the app fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, or consumer protection claims). Brifco is responsible for them, as set out in these terms.
  • If a third party claims that the app or your use of it infringes its intellectual property rights, Brifco, not Apple, is responsible for investigating, defending, settling and discharging that claim.
  • You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a US government embargo or designated by the US government as a terrorist-supporting country, and that you are not on any US government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  • When using the app, you must also comply with applicable third-party terms (e.g. those of your mobile carrier).
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and, once you accept them, may enforce them against you.

Anything not covered by these terms is governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/).

15. Changes to the terms

We may update these terms, for example when the app or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. We will notify you of significant changes in the app before they take effect; if you don't agree with them, you can stop using the app and cancel your subscription.

16. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Slovenia. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer protection rules in the country where you live, and you can bring a claim before the courts there or in Slovenia.

If you have a problem, write to us first — we can resolve most things quickly.
